What is Sensory Kidz?

Sensory Kidz is an exciting opportunity for children to engage in a supported group with similar aged peers. Experiences include music and movement, sensory exploration and messy play. The child-led program offers opportunities for families to understand more about their child’s sensory preferences and needs.

Objectives

  • Develop children’s engagement with people and the world.
  • Explore a variety of sensory activities across the 8 senses (taste, touch, smell, sight, hearing, proprioception / body position, vestibular / movement, and interoception).
  • Develop parents’ understanding of the 8 sensory systems, sensory supports and their child’s sensory needs or preferences.
  • Facilitate parent-child connections.
