How long have you been working with Stronger Together Foundation? And what is your role?

I’m the Operations Manager/Lead Speech Pathologist and I’ve been working here for 5 years.

What inspired you to work with kids? Was it the fun toys or something else?

It brings me joy to help children meet their goals and the seeing impact we have on families.

What’s your go-to funny story from working with kids? (Spill the beans, we love a good laugh!)

I will always remember the moment a child sneezed in my mouth. I was showing them how to make a ‘k sound’ and was pointing to the back of my mouth.

What’s the best part of your day? Is it that first sip of coffee or a little victory with a kiddo?

Hanging out with my partner and sharing stories about our day over dinner.

What’s your favourite activity or game you play in sessions?

I love a scavenger hunt or playing I Spy.

When you’re not at work, where would we most likely find you?

Running, at the gym or spending time with loved ones.

Is there a book or movie that totally speaks to your work? (Bonus points if it’s a kid’s movie!)

I love the Blindside.

What is your favourite animal? And do you have any pets?

I love orcas (it’s on my bucket list to dive with them in Norway). I have a pet dog named Simba.

I’m a sucker for salt and vinegar chippies
